The New Moon is coming. February 10, 2013. That Sunday get your stuff together for new beginnings and new projects. Bring in on this night everything you want to get going in your life.

Last week we talked about being honest with yourself and what it is you want out of life, then manifesting it with the celebration of Imbolc.

This week Savannah suggested we talk about love since Valentine’s Day is in the air. So let’s go there and talk about the heart chakra.

Your heart chakra is in the center of your chest. The colors of this chakra are green or pink. Green if you are working healing issues in your life and pink if you are working on love issues. Let’s side step a minute and talk love issues. Love can be defined many ways when doing readings and I’ve come to find out they are all related when getting what you want with Mr. or Mrs. Right coming into your life. Romantic Love is the most popular love I am asked to read for. When is my “Right” guy coming in?  When will the guy I like figure out his crap and get moving in the “us” direction?  Do I have a guy coming in and what does he look like?  When will he come in?  These are all questions of romantic love that I’m asked, among others.

To be honest with you, I can tell you from the time of the reading answers to those questions, but “free will” can trump the time and things that will happen as you both work through the lessons of your life contract. I know it sounds like bull poopy, but it’s true. Divine timing and free will have a lot to do with you getting the “one” in your life and staying with him/her. This is hard for anyone but I am always butting heads with this lesson. I am a Leo baby and I have a very hard time just tossing my hands up and letting things be without pushing. But, when we push, we end up shoving and things just don’t work out the way they should because we are not learning the lesson we need to because we are trying to control the lesson.

When you are working on bringing love into your life you need to start with yourself. This is where we get brutally honest with ourselves and need to keep in mind our boundaries of what we will put up with and what we won’t. A friend gave me this advice just this last week: Be the person you want to attract into your life. Many times we hear that we attract people that resemble where we are in our own life. You may be attracted to someone that is fun and a party person because at that time in your life that is what you are seeking and where you are at.

When seeking love or putting out to the universe we are ready for the love of our life to come in, we have to open our heart chakra and start by loving ourselves. We can’t expect someone else to love us unconditionally if we don’t love ourselves first. We all deserve love.

The way to work on your heart chakra is through meditation and if you have problems meditating then you need to ask your angels and guides to help you heal your chakra and send love out to the universe around you. You can’t get help if you don’t ask for it so be sure to ask. If you are doing meditations to help your heart chakra then be sure to include also your prayer of intent to ask for help.

  “Dear angels and guides, please help me to work on brining love into my life, helping me to release love and to heal any areas of my heart chakra that may be blocked.”

When you are meditating take a look at your heart chakra. What color is it?  Is its color clear and bright or are there dirty spots?  Is it cracked or missing pieces?

Once you’ve studied it, ask your angels and guides for help in repairing it and balancing it. Stones placed on your chakra can help. Rose quartz is one of my favorites to work with for this area. I will also place 6 rose quartz stones around the body to help circle the body in loving energy. This all helps to boost the healing energy and raise your vibrations.

You can do this on your own. But I’m never one to turn down help to get it done faster!  When I have stuff to work on I call my healer or trade services with my healing friends. I can do it on my own, but I feel better about getting my crap worked out when I have someone pushing me to do it in a session. I feel like in a session I’m making progress. So don’t be afraid to call a Reiki practitioner and get your crap worked on. A practitioner will give you guidance from your guides to help you get through the lesson.

There are good meditation CD’s out there to help you clear your chakras and release blocks. Doreen Virtue has a few out there that I’ve used and love. Find one that works for you if you need that as a tool to help.
