Typo Tuesday's

Welcome to Typo Tuesday! Sit back and get comfy, although you might want to wait to drink your chocolate milk until after you read these funnies. Apparently, it can be a very bad thing for keyboards, lol.

Hope you chuckle once or twice : )

Medical Transcription bloopers:
She is a normally white female.

The patient has no past history of suicides.

This is a woman who is having severe sharp pain in her rectum when she has a bowel movement of two days duration.

This 46-year-old black woman is seen here for recurrent sick as hell anemia.

She woke up from bed and complains of leg pain in the left arm.

Both breasts are equal and reactive to light and accommodation.

She is numb from her toes down.

Exam of genitalia was completely negative except for the right foot.

The patient was to have a bowel resection. However, he took a job as stockbroker instead.

When she fainted, her eyes rolled around the room.

Examination reveals a well-developed male lying in bed with his family in no distress.

She has no rigors or chills but her husband says she was very hot in bed last night.

Special thanks to Wendy Schmoll for helping me with a few of the bloopers!

Mystic Monday's

Welcome
To
Mystic Monday's!

Hi All and Welcome!
Today I think I'll blog about Reiki and we'll go from there. If you have ideas for subjects you'd like me to address, post a comment and let us know.

So here is a short introduction to Reiki.

Reiki is pronounced Ray-Key. Reiki simply means Universal Life Force Energy. Broken down Rei means universal. Ki means the life force energy or the energy that surrounds and flows through us all. Anyone can tap into this energy because it is our birth right.
Reiki was rediscovered in the late 1800 by Dr. Mikao Usui. There is a long story about the discovery of Reiki and the "miracles" that happened during Dr. Usui's quest.
Reiki can be broken down into at least 3 attunements and levels of practice. Level I is an introduction to Reiki history and the how to. This level has one symbol the student is given in the attunement and is a physical healing level. After being attuned to level one, the student learns that he/she can channel Reiki just by putting his/her hands on a person, animal or plant to let the healing energy flow.
Level II Reiki allows the student to become attuned to the distance symbol to assist in sending Reiki over distance and time. The second symbol in this attunement is an emotional symbol. After taking level II a student can become a practitioner and take on clients.
Level III Reiki is for those who want to teach. The master level will attune the student to the master symbols and the student will learn to attune their own students.

Now you're all wondering what an attunement is. Well it's pretty simple. A Reiki Master will give and attunement to a student to put the Reiki symbols into the student's aura. In the attunement the Master will also align the charkas. After receiving an attunement it isn't uncommon for the student to start having psychic experiences if they were once open to psychic experiences at some point in their life. For me after my first attunement all the things I could do during childhood began to come back. This isn't always true though. Some may not have any kind of experience.

Two of my favorite Reiki books are Empowerment through Reiki by Paula Horan and the Magick of Reiki by Christopher Penczak.

The most important thing to remember is there is no right or wrong with Reiki. Reiki can never do harm and only works for the client's highest good.

With that said, that's a small introduction to Reiki.
Blessings All,
Wendy

Typo Tuesday's

Thanks for stopping by for another Typo Tuesday! With all the things I've been doing lately my good friend Wendy Schmoll (the newest staff member at HP) helped me with today's typo findings...we certainly hope you'll giggle once or twice!

Welfare Application Bloopers

I want my money as quick as I can get it. I’ve been in bed with the doctor for two weeks now and he doesn’t do me any good. If things don’t improve, I will have to send for another doctor.

In accordance with your instructions, I have given birth to twins in the enclosed envelope.

Please find for certain if my husband is dead. The man I am now living with can’t eat or do anything until he knows.

Unless I get my money soon, I will be forced to live an immortal life.
I am very much annoyed to find out that you have branded my son illiterate. This is a dirty lie as I was married a week before he was born.
Mrs. Jones has not had any clothes for two years and has been visited regularly by the clergy.

VALIUM, AND HER RELATIVES

The patient comes in for a lesion on the penis which has been present on and off for 2 years and seems to be getting smaller.

The left side of his cranium is missing.

She has had two flares of the previous sinus tract I identified. She states it is related to having sexual intercourse, and since stopping that she has had no further problems.
I recommended MIACALCIN, 1 puff in each nose on a daily basis.

She smokes one glass of alcohol per week.

Now get back to work! LOL thanks for swinging by!

Mystic Monday's

Welcome to the first Mystic Monday! I’d like to introduce Wendy Jackson who will be my guest blogger for Monday’s. Wendy is my sweetie Rick’s cousin. I've been very blessed to become a part of his super great family : ) She is a wonderful, sweet person and I’m sure you’ll be glad to get to know her. I can’t wait to see what she will be sharing with all of us! I'm sure we will learn more about Reiki, what it's like to be a Medium and if we're lucky, maybe she'll share a ghost hunting story or two! So, with that said, here’s a bit more about Wendy…

As a child, I had abilities that I could not understand. I could sense and sometimes see Earthbound spirits. I could also, through prayer, heal or make symptoms better for sick or injured animals. During my high school years, I began to rediscover energy through working with crystals. It was not until the birth of my second son and a battle with postpartum depression that I was referred to a Reiki practitioner. Soon after taking Reiki Level l, my childhood abilities began to come back to me. I soon became a Reiki Master and began to explore other systems of Reiki along with other forms of healing with energy.  Sometimes I am guided to use sound, aromatherapy and even gemstones in my Reiki sessions to assist with wellness. My Reiki sessions have really turned into intuitive healing sessions because they are a mix of everything. I have been practicing as a Reiki Master for almost 10 years. I've learned that Reiki and Intuitive Healing work is what I was doing as a child. Over the last eight years I have studied hard to bring back my ability to communicate with Earthbound spirits and crossed-over loved ones. I have done Medium work with Wisconsinosity.com and with The Haunting Experiments. I currently hold a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Human Development and Family Studies. After working on a Masters of Science in Holistic Therapies, I continued my education and received a PhD in Integrated Wellness through the Midwest University of Holistic Health.
