Mystic Monday

Happy Monday to you All!

This week Wendy will not be posting her usual Mystic Monday, due to spending a long weekend moving into her new home. I wish her all the best and that her new home is filled with much love and happiness. Wendy will be back next week to share with all of us topics that will help enrich our lives.

To fill in here’s a little bio on Wendy…

As a child, I had abilities that I could not understand. I could sense and sometimes see Earth-bound spirits. I could also through prayer heal or make symptoms better for sick or injured animals.

During my high school years, I began to rediscover energy through working with crystals. But it was not until the birth of my second son and a battle with postpartum depression that I was referred to a Reiki practitioner. Soon after taking Reiki Level l, my childhood abilities began to come back to me. I soon became a Reiki Master and began to explore other systems of Reiki along with other forms of healing with energy. Sometimes I am guided to use sound, aromatherapy and even gemstones in my Reiki sessions to assist with wellness. My Reiki sessions have really turned into intuitive healing sessions because they are a mix of everything.

I have been practicing as a Reiki Master for almost 10 years. I’ve learned that Reiki and Intuitive Healing work is what I was doing as a child. Over the last eight years I have studied hard to bring back my ability to communicate with Earth-bound spirits and crossed-over loved ones.

I have done Medium work with Wisconsinosity.com and with The Haunting Experiments.

I currently hold a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Human Development and Family Studies. After working on a Master’s of Science in Holistic Therapies, I continued my education and received a PhD in Integrated Wellness through the Midwest University of Holistic Health.

Happy Summer Solstice

This post has been compiled from information posted on the internet and not written by me.

The longest day of 2013 is finally here—but this year, it comes with a twist!

While the solstice in the northern hemisphere traditionally falls on June 21— and this year it will occur on that date at 1:04 a.m. EDT— it will begin on Thursday, June 20, for parts of the western U.S., according to the website of the Clark Planetarium. The time of the solstice depends upon your position on Earth and, as a consequence, where you are in relation to the sun.

The summer solstice occurs when Earth's axis is the most tilted toward the sun—the angle is known as "maximum axial tilt." As a consequence of this specific orientation, the sun rises at its most northeasterly point along the horizon and also sets at its most northwesterly point in the northern hemisphere.

The solstice isn't the only big celestial event this week. Sky-watchers are gearing up for the arrival of the 2013 “super-moon”, which is set to peak June 22-23 and deliver the biggest, brightest moon of the year.

Solstice celebrations …

The term solstice can also be used in a wider sense, as the date (day) that such a passage happens. The solstices, together with the equinoxes, are connected with the seasons. In some languages they are considered to start or separate the seasons; in others they are considered to be center points (in England, in the Northern Hemisphere, for example, the period around the northern solstice is known as midsummer, and Midsummer's Day is 24 June, about three days after the solstice itself). Similarly 25 December is the start of the Christmas celebration, and is the day the Sun begins to return to the Northern Hemisphere.

Many cultures celebrate various combinations of the winter and summer solstices, the equinoxes, and the midpoints between them, leading to various holidays arising around these events. For the southern solstice, Christmas is the most popular holiday to have arisen. In addition, Yalda, Saturnalia, Karachun, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and Yule (see winter solstice for more) are also celebrated around this time. For the northern solstice, Christian cultures celebrate the feast of St. John from June 23 to 24 (see St. John's Eve, Ivan Kupala Day, Midsummer), while Neopagans observe Midsummer, also known as Litha. For the vernal (spring) equinox, several spring-time festivals are celebrated, such as the Persian Nowruz, the observance in Judaism of Passover and in most Christian churches of Easter. The autumnal equinox has also given rise to various holidays, such as the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. At the midpoints between these four solar events, cross-quarter days are celebrated.

In the southern tip of South America, the Mapuche people celebrate We Tripantu (the New Year) a few days after the northern solstice, on June 24. Further north, the Atacama people formerly celebrated this date with a noise festival, to call the Sun back. Further east, the Aymara people celebrate their New Year on June 21. A celebration occurs at sunrise, when the sun shines directly through the Gate of the Sun in Tiwanaku. Other Aymara New Year feasts occur throughout Bolivia, including at the site of El Fuerte de Samaipata.

In many cultures, the solstices and equinoxes traditionally determine the midpoint of the seasons, which can be seen in the celebrations called midsummer and midwinter. In this vein, the Japanese celebrate the start of each season with an occurrence known as Setsubun. The cumulative cooling and warming that result from the tilt of the planet become most pronounced after the solstices, leading to the more recent custom of using them to mark the beginning of summer and winter in most countries of Central and Northern Europe, as well as in Canada, the USA and New Zealand.

In the Hindu calendar, two sidereal solstices are named Makara Sankranti which marks the start of Uttarayana and Karkat Sankranti which marks the start of Dakshinayana. The former occurs around January 14 each year, while the latter occurs around July 14 each year. These mark the movement of the Sun along a sidereally fixed zodiac (precession is ignored) into Makara, the zodiacal sign which corresponds with Capricorn, and into Karkat, the zodiacal sign which corresponds with Cancer, respectively.

Mystic Monday

Hello All,
This week we have two things going on...

Summer Solstice is June 21st and the Full Moon is Sunday, June 23rd.

So let’s jump in and talk about these events!

June 21 is Summer Solstice. What does that mean?  Well a lot of different things. It is another power day for the Earth in which the veils between the worlds thins and communication between our world and the other-side is strong. Friday would be a day to expect the unexpected. On this day crossed over loved ones will be able to come through to you better. This would be a great day to get in touch with your spirit guides if you have been having problems communicating with them as they will be able to come through stronger. Look for signs, or things in your path that wouldn’t normally be there. These things could be a way your guides or loved ones are trying to tell you something.

Summer Solstice is not only the first day of summer, but the day when the sun is strongest and it’s the longest day of the year. With that said the downer is, Summer Solstice is the beginning of days becoming shorter until Winter Equinox in December. If you think I celebrate Winter Equinox to its fullest you’d guess right! Because who wouldn’t celebrate a day in the winter when you can welcome back the sun and know that the days will again grow longer.

Anyway, back on track here. Celebrate Summer Solstice to its fullest and enjoy the warm days of summer while we can. Celebrate the warm energy of the sun. Work outside in the garden or around your yard. Take a walk in nature and enjoy all the life the sun has nurtured with mother earth and give thanks.

Now, Sunday is the Full Moon. This full moon comes riding the coat tails of the energy of Summer Solstice. In my opinion this full moon is going to be potent. So start manifesting! Sunday night do your rituals under the full moon to add to that potent energy that will help your manifesting list come into play. The earth has shifted energy and things should manifest a little quicker with this moon. Write out your list, take it outside and burn it under the full moon after saying your prayer of intent.

All of this keeps in time with the new beginnings time of year. I am hearing that we need to move forward and celebrate our new accomplishments. Energy is shifting and everything will work out for the best and be all right.

Have an amazing week everyone!

Blessings All,
Wendy

To Be Continued...with Robin Renee Ray

Those of you who read my blog regularly are probably wondering what the hell happened to my Wednesday blog posts by Robin Renee Ray and her “To Be Continued” stories. Well here’s Robin to tell it in her own words…

Hi all....I have been down and out and just yucky! BUT I'M BACK...LOL

Gonna just spit it out for all who see my blog. I know it goes out to thousands to see on my Google+ but kind of glad I have it messed up on Goodreads..LOL They can't see crap over there because I am so good at not being able to understand computer blah blah....change my blog addy...okay...didn't work??? What did I do wrong??? How the hell do I know, it says my addy is different, but has never updated since I was turned over for being an abuser and made into spam...which was something my peeps ate when we were growing up..LOL NO, I am not really an abuser I just gained a hater back when~ ; )

Anyway...I have medical probs that keep me down from time to time and I am telling the world...who I call my peeps, after all these long 6 years that I have been a writer. Long time, I know. *Snicker*  But, I keep having to be gone and not wanting to tell why and it's not right. I have a thing in my brain called a Chiari 1 Malformation and I have a little brain tumor somewhere on the right side...I really don't pay much mind. Ha! No Pun intended. LMAO My whole body has been jacked through the years with my brain shoving down into my spinal thing and I have been under like 18 times and cut on at least 14 of those 18 times. It was all to keep this old body together. I have had surgery on my leg from my shoulder to my spine, a few times... to my insides ... more than a few times. So, it all knocks me on my ass from time to time and I end up wanting to do nothing but lay here and watch TV. I am, without a doubt, a movie freak!!! LOL

I don't need any more surgeries...what's in my head can't be fixed, but I still have to deal with the crap that it causes. This warm weather makes a world of difference and removes the pressure somewhat in the brain??? Don't know how it works, just so glad it does...and I am going to try and get some work done...Blogging done....Promo for others done...and spending more time online making new peeps.

The first thing I have to do is finish correcting my momma's book Uncertain Meanings....the only contemporary that I will more than likely ever write..LOL I am a horror/dark fantasy kind of hippie grandma. ; )

The second is help a friend out and edit her work and read one of the best series that I have ever read.....Will share that new release and cover with her interview that will be right here....keep a watchful eye. There will be lots of goodies in her little bag of giveaways. : )

And third...just hit my work hard and don't stop until this shit in my brain shuts me down again. ; ) It will always come back and it will never go away. So, I have learned to call it all my friend, my little men that at times grab their hammers and do too much work inside my head....or at times I say my brain has taken a walk and slid from my ear and if seen, please send it back home..LOL On those days, if I should disappear...now you will all know why. Give me a few days and those little men will put those hammers away and or my brain will come back to some form of normality and I will be back!!!

Well, that its! I know, that's enough huh..LOL

Big Hugs~ Have a rockin' week and do not let anything hold you back!!!

                               HELLFIRE PUBLISHING

Now don’t let all that make you think she hasn’t been busy coming up with some great ideas! Here’s what is coming from Robin in the very near future…

Here is the goodie basket that will be going out in July with Coffee Time Romance...One Grand Prize Winner, one of the three, will receive the stone and glass Soul Goblets that goes with a signed copy of Arrival of the Prophecy...along with a few more goodies. A ladies tote bag and even a little something for your vehicle. Most know I am a Hillbilly Hippie and I found this Hillbilly Candle for your car....SO...I had to get it..LOL

And because it is so hard to show ones thanks for all the wonderful reviews that we get. I am also holding a reviewers contest on Amazon with Arrival of the Prophecy, throughout the month of July. I will also be giving away three print signed copies to the judges three favorite Amazon reviews...and the list is growing...and one of those three will receive the Grand Prize of the long stem Soul Goblets with a few goodies in that basket as well. Hubby wanted me to throw in some liquor...I said I wasn't sure you could even do that..LOL Winning reviews will be picked on July 25th. And goodies will continue to be added to the basket. That should give those who have already picked the book up, plenty of time to review it, if they want to.

The contest for both places will go out to US and Canadians....when I get rich I will go world wide, but until then I have to stay close to home..LOL

I am a proud family member at: HELLFIRE PUBLISHING
Cover art by: REBEL ANGEL DESIGNS

Have a rockin' week...Big Hugs~

P.S. Just wait until you see the goodies that I have planned for my Bloodbreeder Fans, who have left an Amazon review. That contest will be a hard one, due to I will be going with all three books....so the Grand Prize has to ROCK!!!!!

And don’t worry folks, I have it on good authority that Robin is working on her next little horror read for my blog and it’s called, “Let’s Get Eddy”… and I don’t know about you all, but I sure am looking forward to reading it!
Welcome back Robin...we love you and have missed you!

Mystic Monday

Hi All,

What to talk about today? Well Saturday was the New Moon did you remember to release whatever isn’t serving your highest good?

Ok so since the New Moon has passed it’s time to start your manifesting. Now remember you can do manifesting in a few ways but the key is to spend a few minutes each day telling the universe what it is you want.

This is how I manifest: I write out every quality I want in what it is I want. So say a new car. I would write out the year, the make, model and all the features I want on a list and then I would put what I am willing to pay for it. Then every day I would read the list to the universe saying this is what I want, bring it to me please, thank you.

Now a friend of mine manifests by pretending she already has it and thanks the universe for it. So her manifesting prayer starts out something like this. “Universe I am so happy and grateful for ….” And then she spells it out.

Remember on the night of the Full Moon the energy is at full power for manifesting so that is the night you should connect a ritual to your list. I write mine out and then burn it under the full moon and then release the ashes back to Mother Earth.

Ok change of subject. I’ve had some gardening Reiki questions come up. A few weeks ago I was working on transplanting some of my plants and used Reiki to attune the rocks that I put in the pots to help the plants take root in their new home. I also used Reiki directly with the plant to help it recover from the trauma of being replanted.

So this is what I do. I work on my plant just like a person. Start by opening the plants aura. Then I simply hover my hands over the plant and channel Reiki to it by chanting the power symbol’s name three times. After I channel for a few minutes when the plant’s energy is calm then I seal the aura. When transplanting, I will Reiki the plant and the dirt that I’m using. I will also Reiki a rock to go into the pot with the plant to continue to give Reiki when the plant needs it. I also always Reiki the water I use for my plants every week.

Now if you are not attuned to Reiki you can still send healing energy to your plant, just pull down the white light of the universe. Start by visualizing the white light of the universe beaming down from the sky and entering your energy through your crown chakra, then traveling to your third eye and throat to your chest, down your arms and out your hands and into your plant. Once there it will go where it is needed.

To charge your water simply pull down the white light of the universe while hovering your hands over the water and visualize the universal white light going to your crown down to your hands and into the water. Remember to say a prayer of intent and then thank the universe for assistance.

I was asked if our plants take on our energy and I guess they can since they share our space. However, if that’s the case mine must love chaos, cause with two boys and their friends running through the house all the time that’s the environment mine live in. I think the cat helps them too though by laying in their space all the time. A cat’s purr can clear energy fields. Although, not so much when he’s tipping them over.

Have a wonderful week all and hope all your plants are doing well. : )

Blessings,
Wendy

Meet Maria Savva, author of Delusion and Dreams

We all struggle to find our way. What you see isn't necessarily all there is. This collection takes you into the grey area, because the world is never just black and white.

Life is all about perspective. One person's delusion is another person's dream.

Includes five bonus stories.

About the book trailer:

Within my short story collection, Delusion and Dreams, there is a story titled ‘Delusion and Dreams’, in fact it’s a story in four parts. The two main characters in the story are Jack and Jessie. They were friends at college. When we meet them in the story, it’s 20 years later. This is a story of regret, love, obsession, and most of all it’s about dreams. My book trailer is all about that story.

I made the trailer using photographs from morguefile.com, a wonderful site where photographers allow people to use their photos for free.

The music for the trailer, is a haunting, reflective tune, which I thought suited the story well. I found the music on a site where the musician was giving away certain tracks free subject to a link to his website being added: http://www.pacdv.com/sounds

I hope you enjoy the trailer.
