Yesterday was not only Groundhog Day-according to
the little rodent we will have 6 more weeks of winter- but it was also Imbolic.
Imbolic
is one of the old pagan holidays. It is celebrated halfway between winter
solstice and spring equinox. It is a celebration marking the coming of spring.
It
is also a day to celebrate the Goddess Brighid. To insure you would have
Brighid’s blessings, people would make Brighid’s crosses and dolls to parade
from home to home. Food and a bed were also made for the Goddess so that they
may receive her blessings.
February is the month of love. Now, I may go there at a later February date but not today. Today we will continue with the heart, and heart energy.
After my session with Kathy Bennett, I have been meditating on heart energy and how to think from heart energy vs the brain. I am not saying don’t use your brain, I am encouraging you to start listening to the advice of your heart.
I am currently reading a book called, The Heart's Code by Paul Pearsall, PhD.
I am finding it very interesting. In the beginning
of the book it tells the story of a child who received the heart of a murdered
child. The little girl who received the heart was beginning to wake with
nightmares, memories from the heart, and its original soul. She was able to
help the police catch the murderer by describing in detail the conversations
had between him and is young victim, his clothes, and the place he took the
girl he killed, along with how he did it.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the book
as I have just started and sharing with you the findings behind the ideas of
the heart having an intelligence and energy of its own.
