Part Four

After the rope was cut, Sam was lowered to the straw covered floor. Shortly after, John was laid next to him. Both boys were stripped clean of all clothing and Aunt Edna, a very large woman with silver hair she wore in a bun, began scrubbing them down. She had a bucket of water, a bar of homemade soap and a large scrub brush. She had wrapped a string around Sam’s stump of a thumb to stop the bleeding. Once she started scrubbing John’s legs and between them he began waking up.
“What’s going on, where am I?”
“Now, don’t you fret, Aunt Edna’s gonna take real good care of ya.”
John rolled his head to the side. “Sam.” Then he tried to raise his head.
“What’s wrong with me?” he asked, trying to lift his arm.
“Just gave ya a little laudanum to keep ya comfortable. Couldn’t get ya to swallow so I had to tube ya.”
Sam raised his hand enough to touch his side, then move his hand over his stomach until he felt a sharp pain when he hit an object sticking out of his flesh. “Oh, don’t worry yourself. It’s just a little thing I had to stick in ya to give ya the meds. Best be fer takin’ my word. Better to have that pain killer, than to not.” He went to raise his head and yelled out as Aunt Edna grabbed his testicles and yanked them down, and with one swift slice removed them from his body.
“Leave him be,” John said as loud as his weak body would allow. “Sam!”
“I don’t reckon he can hear ya, but you just relax, I’ll be with ya shortly,” Aunt Edna replied. “Once I get this one ready, Teddy’ll be in to fetch him and I’ll take care of you.” She then smiled a rotten toothed grin and patted his nude hip.
“Why are ya doin’ this? You people are sick. Devils.”
The small door on the barn opened and a beast of a man had to bend down to step in. He was at least six foot ten and three hundred plus pounds. He looked down at the two young men on the ground and then over at his wife, Aunt Edna, and grunted. “Well, don’t just stand there Teddy, get that one up on the table. We won’t need him tonight.” Teddy took the few steps and leaned down and lifted John like he was a small child and gently laid him on the wooden table by the wall.
“Help me. Please, you have to help me,” John pleaded, but the large man just turned and walked away.
“I’m almost finished gettin’ this one ready, then you can pull him back up so I can clean out his inner’s.” Aunt Edna took a bar of soap and lathered up the hair around what was left of Sam’s private area, then picked up a straight razor and removed all the hair along with the bloody foam around his penis. Afterwards she took the same sharp blade in one hand and his ‘growing’ in the other and chopped it off, adding it to the pot beside her to join his testicles.
John tried to see what was going on through his tear filled eyes. He moaned and cried out loud, begging them to stop harming his brother but neither even as much as glanced his way. He watched as the overweight woman cut off Sam’s fingers, then throwing them into the pot like she was cleaning some kind of farm animal. Every so often he would see her stick her fingers in her mouth, just as old man Kenney had done before he had left.
“Okay hon, go ahead and pull the rope.”
“Please, stop before you kill him,” Sam sobbed, rolling to his side.
Aunt Edna walked over to John as Teddy pulled the rope until Sam hung freely upside down, blood pouring from the wounds she had made. “Sorry son, he’s too far gone to help him now,” she turned and looked back. “Are ya lame? Get that bucket under there or you’ll lose it all.” Then she turned back to John. “Ya got to understand that my brother just wants the land to stay at peace. You folks came in and cursed what’s across that creek and not even the critters will come within ten miles of the place. We have to feed the family, surely you can understand that.”
“You’ll burn in hell for this,” John shook his head as he spoke. “You’ll all burn for this madness.”
“Could be, but will make it a bit longer ‘cause you and that young man didn’t heed the warning. And if Ed has anything to do with it, we’ll be makin’ it all winter, once the last of those town folk are good and dead.” Teddy grunted and Aunt Edna looked at him. “All right, I know you’re hungry. Go tell Sarah to fetch some water and tell Milly to get the stove a goin’”
With that said Teddy took off and left Aunt Edna to do what she did best. The first thing she did was take out a brown bottle from her pocket and took the lid off. She then lifted the tube that was going into John’s stomach and poured some of the thick dark liquid down it. Afterwards she put the lid on and then walked over and picked up the ladle that was in a wooden water bucket and then walked back over and poured water down the tube. “Best make sure you get it all in your tummy,” she smiled down at John in a loving manner. “This’ll help ya sleep and take care of any aches ya may have.”
“Go to hell you crazy bitch.”
“If’n I were you, I wouldn’t let Teddy hear you speak to me like that. He might just do more harm than ya want.” Aunt Edna squinted her eyes then turned her attention to Sam who was gurgling as the air in his lungs pushed past the blood that had filled his nose and mouth.
Looking down at the several blades that laid on the table by the pot with Sam’s outer organs in it, Aunt Edna picked up the one that had a slight curve with a razor’s edge and bone handle. She leaned down and picked up the same ladle that she had poured water through the tube in John’s stomach and began cleaning the straw off of Sam’s legs, buttocks and back. Once she made sure his front was clean from any straw she placed the blade where his manhood used to be and shoved it in several inches.
With a few jerks, Aunt Edna had the blade moving smoothly though Sam’s flesh. Once she reached the bottom of his ribcage she pulled the blade out then slid it back into the opening where his belly button was and where the tube had been and sliced him a few inches toward his left side, then repeated the same on his right. Making the opening on his stomach look like a warped cross of sorts.
John’s eyes were getting heavy and he tried to cry out as the large evil woman rammed the blade into his brother. He gaged as she shoved her hand inside his abdomen and began removing his brother’s intestines. John coughed and liquid shot out of the tube in his stomach, causing Aunt Edna to take notice and stop what she was doing to go over and put the plug back in the end of the tube. “Can’t believe I forgot that. Gonna be a bit messy but don’t reckon that matters now does it?” John turned his head as she spoke and touched the top of his head with a blood coated hand.

Blood and Lilies ~ Interview

This Friday, March 1st Hellfire Publishing will release Blood and Lilies by Lyn Croft. Please sit back and enjoy the little pre-release interview Lyn conducted with a couple of her characters in the story…

Ever want to meet a vampire? Well guess what? You’re in luck; we actually have two vampires here today giving Lyn Croft the news on Halflings, demon dogs and evil queens! Enjoy …

Lyn: Hello everyone! Today I’d like to welcome two of my favorite girls in the whole wide world—Celeste and Estelle. They are the hot Vamp Twins from my book Blood and Lilies – Bloodlines. I’m so glad the two of you could join me today!

Estelle: Yeah, yeah. Can we hurry this along? We have something better to do.

Lyn: Oh. Ok… Well, I see we’re a bit moody today. May I ask why?

Celeste: We’re hungry and we were told… sadly, not to eat you. Pointless, I say.

Estelle: Savannah did say during the interview we couldn’t. But she didn’t say anything about after… ;)

Lyn: Oh my... Um…Well, I’m glad the two of you are here today. I’m dying to get to know you better.

Estelle: Oh, you’ll be dying alright. Ha!

Celeste: Now sis, let’s let Lyn here do her thing. It’s not every day we get some exposure. You never know. That agent we’ve been stalking may see this interview… Don’t ruin this for me, ‘k?

Estelle: Fine, let’s be on with it.

Lyn: Ahem, ok. Well, I see you two are twins.

Estelle: Duh?

Lyn: May I ask who’s the oldest?

Celeste: Well by mortal birth, that would be me. But our rebirth—

Estelle: That’d be me! Ha-ha, I’m older now…

Lyn: How long have the two of you been vampyres?

Estelle: Longer than you’ve been alive. Next …

Celeste: Geeze! Bitch much? Lyn, don’t mind her. You know how grumpy she can get.

Lyn: Yes, yes. I know. So, you two are quite the duo in Blood and Lilies. What’s your story?

Estelle: Well, see…there’s this annoying little twit named Cara. She’s supposed to be super special or something.

Celeste: Yeah, Zillah wants her, and wants her real bad!

Lyn: Can you tell us about Zillah?

Celeste: She’s the queen B. You know, the big boss of us all. But we’re gonna show her.

Lyn: Oh, I see. So, do the two of you have a plan?

Estelle: Yeah, but that’s none of your business. Not unless you can help us get our claws dug deep into Cara’s face. She’s so overdue for a facial.

Lyn: I’m sensing some animosity towards Cara. What’s the scoop?

Celeste: She’s got these stupid creatures called Halflings watching over her. You know—the offspring of the Nephilim. They like to believe they are good, when in fact the same demon blood runs through their veins. Just like us. They are so NOT better than us.

Lyn: But they don’t drink human blood or kill humans. They’re not vampires like you. So in my world, they are better…

Estelle: Hmph, if you only knew.

Lyn: What’s that supposed to mean? Care to go into more depth?

Estelle: Not really. Are we done yet?

Lyn: Um, no. So…Vampires, Nephilim, and Halflings— what else is there that I should know about?

Celeste: Oh! Don’t forget about the Demon Dogs! Best to stay away from those things, they’re big, and not very cuddly.

Lyn: Yeah… well… you don’t seem so cuddly yourself.

Celeste: Excuse me?

Lyn: Never mind…So, do you know why the Halflings are protecting Cara? From what I hear, they’ve given you a pretty good run around so far.

Estelle: Does it matter? All I know is that girl is my next meal. Well, okay … maybe after you being my next meal. But she’s toast.

Celeste: Sis, you know they aint gonna let us anywhere near her. And Zillah said—

Estelle: Shut up! God, I can’t take you anywhere.

Lyn: What did Zillah say?

Estelle: None of your business, mortal. Next!

Lyn: Well. I can see I’m gaining great distance with the two of you. This is so much fun.

Celeste: Sorry, Lyn. Hunger, remember? We’ve been gunning for Cara, but no luck so far. Besides getting our butts beat pretty good.

Lyn: Understandable. So, what is it you’re going to do with her? Well… besides have her over for “dinner”.

Celeste: Well, legend has it that she carries some special bloodline. Like her dad was a high level angel or something. I think it gives demons super immortality or something. We plan to get her first and find out. Then we can be the queen B’s, if you know what I mean… ;)

Estelle: Dude! Shut up. Why do you always have to give away too much? Can you seriously please plug up that air leak in your head? It’s called your mouth!

Celeste: Whatever. Like she doesn’t already know! Duh!

Estelle: Yeah, but hello??? What about the others who don’t. You so don’t understand being secretive. Do you?

Lyn: Ahem, ok you too. Well, before tempers flare any further, can I just say what an honor it is to finally meet you in person? You too are exactly the way I imagined, except maybe even more stunning in person.

Estelle: Yep. We know. Are you done now with your “questions”?

Lyn: Well, I guess I can be... Did you have anything else to add?

Celeste & Estelle: Nah, except that it’s dinner time!

Lyn: Crap! Good thing I have those Halflings on standby… Eamon! Seamus! Shannon! It’s time!

Celeste & Estelle:  Oh….  Not good…

Anyone who leaves a comment here or on Lyn’s Facebook page will get the secret scavenger list for the final round on Wednesday. Good Luck!

Be sure to stop back this Friday, March 1st for more details about the release of “Blood and Lilies” the first in the Bloodlines series written by Lyn Croft.

Mystic Monday

Hi All.

Before we jump into the supernatural, I’d like to say Happy Birthday to my son Rory, Happy Birthday Rory!

Reminder tonight is the Full Moon so you need to do your manifesting ritual!

This week I’ve had a request to discuss ghosts or earthbound spirits. Let’s get started. Let’s clear up some terminology shall we.

A ghost or an earthbound spirit is a disembodied soul that remains in our world for one reason or another. Ghosts can take on different shapes such as orbs, mists, or change the temperature around them. Some are able to take the form of their former body. Ghosts can also manipulate things in this world.

Ghosts are not to be confused with crossed over loved ones. Ghosts have never crossed over. On the other hand, crossed over loved ones can visit. They can pop over and check on you when you need them or turn up when you least expect it. They are happy continuing with life on the other-side. Usually crossed over loved ones will contact you after they have had their life review and have hashed out everything they were supposed to learn during their life time on Earth. Once they have all that done they can pop over to visit or look in on you.

Residual energy is energy that has imprinted on an area. This energy does the same thing at the same time daily. Often it is related to an event that was traumatic in some way. Say you have a house with two stories and every night at 11 pm you hear footsteps walking across the house upstairs and you know there isn’t anyone up there. Every night you hear these footsteps at 11pm. Chances are you don’t have a ghost—you have residual energy in the house.

There are other types of haunting's such as poltergeist or demonic among others but, today we are going to focus just on Ghosts and haunted places.

Now, I am called to work with a paranormal group called Steven Point Paranormal Club out of Stevens Point, Wisconsin. The team goes into a house or public building and conducts an investigation that is scientifically based. I will be called in to walk through the property without the team and just the owner and my notebook and pen to see what I am able to pick up on as I tour the property. During these tours I do not go in prepared with information. I prefer to go in “Cold” not knowing anything other than the owner believes the property to be haunted. My part of this team is to pick up on what I can that is there for ghosts or energy and let the team know what areas I discovered to be haunted so they can have a chance at collecting better evidence and proving or disproving the existence of a ghost on the property.

Before I get started I want you to know what I take with me for equipment. I have a cannon camera that is about 5 years old. I take a mini mag light and a voice recorder. I also have a pair of rods. I find if I use things like the rods or the evp meters and other stuff the team uses my psychic IQ drops and I am not able to focus on the information coming to me as much as focused on the tools and getting them to go off or light up.

Okay I had some real good questions asked. Can a place that isn’t active become active?  Yes, I’ve had this experience more with public places than private but it can happen with private as well.

Public buildings have no boundaries as they are open to everyone. So then there is nothing to keep ghosts out, unlike with a private house there are things you can do to take ownership of the property and keep ghosts out. I know of buildings that have not had activity or reports of activity, yet all the sudden they have activity.

What explains this?  Well there could have been a resident ghost all along but maybe things have changed in the building and it now feels safe to come out and try to communicate or take over an area of the building.

A private house can all of a sudden have activity depending on what is being done around the property. Often times people are messing with things they have no clue about. Ouija boards are good at causing this kind of stuff to happen. Ouija boards are tools that you can use to make contact with the other side. The only problem is this is a lower vibration way of doing so and as such you attract ghosts or things of lower vibrations that are not always “nice’ for lack of a better word. Then all of a sudden after messing with an Ouija board you start experiencing activity in the home. A big misconception is that people just assume a place is haunted because someone died there. This is not always true. A place could be haunted because the ghost has a connection to the place. Say a person dies later in life and doesn’t cross over for one reason or another, then turns up at the house they were living at when they were a child but hadn’t lived there in years. It can happen.

Pets can also not cross over and be ghosts. Yes, really they can. I’ve been to places that have had the ghost of animals running around.

Once in a while if you are at a haunted property something can attach to you and follow you home. Most likely this won’t happen because whatever is haunting a property is connected to the property for one reason or another. But it has happened on occasion. I’ve had it happen once because of my own stupidity and forgot to protect myself.

Also when you are trying to communicate with a ghost set the boundaries. I am not one that likes to be touched. You’re more than welcome to drop a book near me, slam a door but no touching at all. Touching can turn to scratching or blood drawing. If you are okay with being touched on the arm or have them hold your hand spell it out, what you are okay with and what is a no-no with you. One girl I was out with on our team said you can touch me and I’m okay with scratching…I was like, “Whoa, hum NO.” There will be no scratching of anyone around me. You are inviting blood or harm to come to you by not putting a limit on it.

What do you do if you suspect your property has a ghost?  Well you can do three things.

1. You can try to deal with it yourself. Try communicating it and setting boundaries even asking it to leave.

2. You can call a paranormal group with a good reputation to come out and confirm things for you and see if they can figure out why the ghost is hanging around.

3. Call a priest. Now if things are being moved around or the ghost is mean or violent I suggest skipping 1 and 2 and going straight to 3, or calling someone who can get you a professional that can deal with it.

If you are attempting to communicate you can do so with a simple voice recorder and a camera. Take pictures of your area and see if any shadows, orbs or mist come up. Keep a voice recorder going as you ask questions as you walk through your area. Then go back and listen to it and see what answers come up after your questions. Before you do so I would say a little prayer for protection. I am a big on making sure your bases are covered and that you do so while being as safe as you can.

Have an amazing week and please feel free to ask questions.
